Star Wars: The Complete Saga Review! Episode II

Overview: Again the quality was amazing! The HD is fantastic! The farther I dig into this Blu-Ray release, the more I enjoy it!

Likes: Still loving the Hi-Def! Would you look at the incredible art that holds the! My favorite aspect of Episode II is Anakin and Padme! One of the best love stories ever told! After saying that, I love the way this piece of art captures that part of the movie! Again the scenes on Coruscant and Naboo took my breath away! Even some of those on Tatooine, Geonosis, and Kamino! There doesn't seem to be much difference, although one thing I did catch was when Anakin and Padme land on Naboo they start walking, and if I'm not mistaken they take a little different route. While it doesn't seem like something necessary just hearing about it, I felt it made Naboo look even more beautiful! Again I think there may have been some additions to some of the areal shots on some of the planets, which I think gives it a more fuller effect! The menu was the same as the first and still really cool!

Dislikes: Not really seeing any dislikes in this episode either!

Bonus Features: Again the only bonus feature is the commentaries(same as the first).

Conclusion: I'm am still really pleased with the Blu-Ray release and can't wait to watch some more of the episodes! Hope you enjoyed this review! Maybe it even helped you in your decision on buying the it! If you haven't read my review of Episode I yet click here! Look for my review of Episode III tomorrow! Until next time, MTFBWY!

Star Wars: The Complete Sage Review! Episode I

Overview: I thought the quality was awesome! It looked pretty awesome in HD! So far so good with the Blu-Ray release!

Likes: Obviously loved the high definition! When I popped in the disc and the menu popped up I was pleased already! The menu is futuristic looking with shots from the movie popping up all over the screen! I liked what they did with Yoda in changing him from puppet to CGI Yoda! I never did like the puppet Yoda. It looked extremely ugly and didn't even fit in with the movie! From what I can tell, it looks like they added a few new shots to the pod race giving it a more full effect! I was really pleased with that! Also looks like they may have added some new areal shots on Coruscant and possibly Naboo, too. Speaking of Coruscant and Naboo, every time there was an areal shot it was breathtaking in Blu-Ray high definition! I also loved the art of Darth Maul(shown here) inside the case where we find the Episode I disc!

Dislikes: I don't really have any dislikes with the first episode.

Bonus Features: The only bonus feature on the disc is the commentaries... Audio commentary with George Lucas, Rick McCallum, Ben Burtt, Rob Coleman, John Knoll, Dennis Muren, and Scott Squires... Audio commentary from archival interviews with cast and crew.

Conclusion: So far I am so incredibly pleased with the Blu-Ray release, and I can't wait to get onto the next episodes and see what else they have in store! Hope you enjoyed this review, and maybe it helped you on your decision on whether or not to buy it! Look for my review of Episode II tomorrow! Until then MTFBWY!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Review! Episode 4.3

Prisoners!
Wow I'm so impressed with how much they improved from last week's episodes!
It was much better and the animation looked amazing,
as always!

Overview: I thought this episode had a great plot! The scenes were much more climatic than last weeks. The lines were much better as well! I felt especially sympathetic now to the prince's lines in the first two episodes because now I see it was essential to be able to follow his journey to becoming the king of Mon Calamari! I again loved the conflict inside Nossor Ri regretting his choice to join the separatist! It was very climatic seeing his realization of his mistake, and his willingness to make up for it! I love how Prince Lee Char never gives up! Again, Jar Jar proves himself worthy of being in the Star Wars universe! The battle at the end was amazingly better than that of last weeks! More climatic, more interesting, more deaths, and better transitions between battle and talking scenes! I am so incredibly pleased with this week's episode! However, it makes me wonder why they couldn't make last week's episodes this good.

Characters: The characters were very well done in this episode!
-Nossor Ri, Prince Lee-Char, Senator Meena Tills, Captain Ackbar: Nossor Ri, as I mentioned before, the conflict within him was incredibly depicted in this episode, and I enjoyed it very much! I was pleased to see how much Prince Lee-Char has matured in the past three episodes! He really came a long way! Meena Tills, though she didn't have very many lines, I thought had better lines than last week. Captain Ackbar has always been very inspiring, and I enjoyed seeing the creators of Clone Wars doing such a good job depicting that in the show!
-Riff Tamson, Scuba Troopers, Gungans, Mon Cala people, Quarren people: Riff Tamson was slightly less amazing than last week, but I hardly noticed with all of the other neat stuff going on around him. He definitely kept his ruthless personality though. Again I was sad to say that there was not much of the Scuba Troopers in this episode. We get to see a little more of the personality of the Mon Cala people, which I though was neat! I love how the Quarren people decide to set apart their differences with the Mon Cala and help them win the war against the separatist!
-Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Kit Fisto, Jar Jar Binks: I felt Ahsoka Tano was ok in this episode, there really isn't much of the usually main characters in these episodes, but I think that is was just fine that way! I felt she had just enough lines to help Lee-Char! Anakin had some neat lines, and I think there was a good balance of him, too! Padme didn't do much either, but I thought it was fine. Kit was also fine because whenever he spoke he had nicely done lines! I feel like Jar Jar really proved himself worthy of being in Star Wars with a few of his actions and lines on this episode, as I mentioned earlier!

Disappointments: Don't really have any major disappointments with this episode, other than I thought they could have made Riff Tamson a little bit more invincible.

Conclusion: Way better than last week's episode in many ways! I loved it a lot and I can't wait to see more episodes like this one! I rate this one 8/10! Look for my review of next week's episode next Friday or Saturday and see a preview here, Shadow Warrior preview! Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading! And until next time MTFBWY!

If you haven't yet seen this episode, watch it now on StarWars.com here, Prisoners!(note: video may not be available in all areas.)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Review! Episode 4.2

Gungan Attack!
Way better than the first, and again, great animation, especially in HD!

Overview: This episode was much better than the first! The conversations in the beginning were much better compared to some in the first episode! I loved the lines and scenes in this episode far better than that of the first too! The battle scenes were extremely better than those in the first episode this season! One of the moments I liked in this episode was the scene where they are looking for their ship on the surface. Also the lines directly following this scene were well done. I love the way Ahsoka tries to comfort Lee in his uncertainty as well! The best scene in this episode, and I'd even venture to say this show, was the extremely suspenseful scene where the trident droids spin around creating a whirlpool in which an incredible battle takes place! Ahsoka pulls off some incredible moves and Kit Fisto as well! I love Clone Wars sticking to their humor that has been in so many episodes, with lines from Anakin and Padme. Also the part in which Senator Tills and Jar Jar are hugging and then hug each other even tighter when surrounded by droids!

Characters: I felt the characters were much better portrayed in this episode then Water War.
-New Gungan Boss, Jar Jar: The new Gungan Boss seemed kind of easily swayed and able to make snap judgements. Jar Jar was as always, funny.
(characters in the first episode were not listed because they've already been talked about on here, Water War review.)

Disappointments: No major disappointments in this episode!

Conclusion: This episode is by far the best yet in the Season, and possibly the entire clone wars! It was incredible done and the pacing between battles and conversations was way better than the first! I especially loved the end with the conversation between Lee and Ahsoka! I rate this episode 7/10! Look for my review of Prisoners next Saturday or Friday and see a preview here, Prisoners Preview!

If you haven't seen this episode you can watch it on StarWars.com here, Gungan Attack!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Review! Episode 4.1

Water War!
This episode was pretty cool. The animation was incredible! And it was amazing watching it in HD!

Overview: I thought the debate in the beginning was well done, however most of the lines after this, I thought, were somewhat childish. Most of Captain Ackbar's lines I thought were ok, and I'll excuse the prince's lines for now because I believe he is in his teens, but some of the lines that the other characters say were not that great. The battle scenes were ok, but I felt that it was a little rushed and the battle couldn't get to its full potential because of the time frame. Also, because they were trying to make the battle look cool, I think they took away from some of the character interaction. I kind of thought the battles were short and not shown enough to truly get what was happening, and that the times when there were discussions, they weren't thought through enough. I likes scenes like toward the beginning of the first battle. Also when Ahsoka and Lee-Char are in the tube with Riff trying to get in. And every time Ahsoka used her lightsaber, my mind was blown(I believe she was the highlight of the episode)! As always Kit Fisto's personality is so cool! I like how the Quarren leader is very arrogant with Riff! The ending, where Ahsoka, Lee-Char, and Ackbar are talking, was nicely done!

Characters: Some of the new characters were really cool!
-Anakin, Ahsoka, Fisto, Padme, Yoda, Mace: I thought all of the character were pretty well done in this episode, with the exception of Yoda. I felt some of Yoda's lines were kind of childish. I
think most of the character's personalities were kept pretty good, also with exception to Yoda.
Ahsoka especially was really cool in this episode.
-Prince Lee-Char, Senator Meena Tills, Captain Ackbar: I thought Lee's lines were childish as well,
though like I said before I think I will excuse that one, at least for now, because I think he IS a
child. Meena's lines, when I first watched the episode, I thought were not that great, but after
watching it again I feel differently. I think she was just sticking the their tradition and on top of
that didn't know much about war. Captain Ackbar was very cool in this episode! I felt they
stayed very true to his character from Episode VI and he was really cool! He had some very neat
lines, especially in the last scene when he talks to the prince.
-Riff Tamson, Nossor Ri: Riff Tamson was a really cool character! I love his shark like personality
that makes him perfect to be a leader in the separatist army! It's kind of gory when he runs
around ripping people's heads off, but thankfully you do not see it happen. Nossor was pretty
cool! I love his personality, and his respect for his opponents!
-Aqua Droids, Hydroid Medusa, Scuba Troopers: I'm glad they found a way to bring back the
aqua droids cause they are pretty cool! The killer jelly fish were pretty cool! It was awesome to
watch them! They scuba troopers were pretty cool, however I was disappointed that they weren't
given more screen time and lines.

Disappointments: My only major disappointment that I haven't mentioned yet was two different scenes using the same EXACT footage! Shortly after Anakin says, "Reinforcements...finally!" we see a close up of Ahsoka as she swims through the water looking to the left, then straight ahead with a determined look. A few minutes later, after Anakin loses his helmet, we see another close up of Ahsoka, the only thing is, they used the same exact footage as the one before! Do they think we won't notice these things?!?!

Conclusion: I thought the plot was somewhat weak, but overall, I thought it was incredible! I thought it was a great start to Season 4, but they could have made it a little stronger. It was really good animation, I loved a lot of the battle scenes, and it was awesome watching it in HD! I rate it 4/10! So, I'm so glad that Season 4 is finally here! And Can't wait to see more episodes! (Look for my review of Gungan Attack in a little bit!)

If you haven't yet watched this episode, you can watch it now on StarWars.com here, Water War!
